Our Members

Our nine members are committed to sustainable fishing practices within the Bering Sea and Aleutian Islands. All ALCC members participate in the Freezer Longline Coalition, a voluntary cooperative. This cooperative allows vessel operators to slow the pace of fishing, resulting in improved safety, more sustainable fishing practices, and greater flexibility to maximize catch. The freezer longline sector is the first cod fishery in the world to obtain certification to the Marine Stewardship Council as a sustainable, eco-friendly, and well-managed fishery.
